Tomorrow is the day of lovers, but also the day of the presentation of an expected Chinese mid-range. After the success of the Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi prepares for the launch of his successor. But the Redmi Note 5 will not come alone, it will have a presentation companion called Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The official announcement of this pair of smartphones will occur tomorrow in India, but the leaks do not wait for anyone and we can take a look at what would be its full technical characteristics thanks to2 filtered promotional images where you can see images and all the Specifications. The mid-range of Xiaomi continues to bet heavily in 2018.
Taking into account that the first Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was announced in August 2016, the Redmi Note 5 arrive with some delay. The company has already announced some models of the series such as Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 5A or Redmi Note 5A. Before so much confusion we wondered if there would be a Redmi Note 5 to dry. The leaks suggest that there will be, and as we said will have an older brother who looks the surname Pro.
Before seeing how these 2 smartphones differ, let’s see what they look like. The design is a common point in terms of dimensions and weight, although aesthetically there are some minor differences. Both have 5.99-inch screens in 18: 9 format and FullHD + resolution, or what is the same, 2,160 x 1,080 pixels.
Another common point will be the software, which will be MIUI 9, the latest installment of the Xiaomi layer, but the Android version will remain Nougat, undoubtedly a very weak point of this duo. Also, they coincide in the battery, both with units of 4000mAh that promise a very prolonged autonomy.
But let’s see differences. The Redmi Note 5 Pro advances in power with a Snapdragon 636 chip, while his little brother will have the already veteran Snapdragon 625, a chip that gives very good results but was released two years ago. As for the memory options, the two will be available in versions of 3/32 GB and 4/64 GB, but the Redmi Note 5 Pro will add a third option with 6/64 GB.
The cameras are another point that distinguishes this pair of smartphones and again the Pro model is advanced when mounting a dual rear camera. According to the filtered technical sheet, this model combines 12MP and 5MP sensors to achieve the fashionable portrait effect. On the front mount a 20MP sensor with LED flash for selfies. For its part, the Redmi Note 5 has a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
As we said, the presentation of the new Redmi Note 5 is tomorrow, February 14 in India. There do not seem to be many details to reveal after this massive leak, but as always we will have to wait for the official announcement to confirm this information. We leave you with the filtered datasheet of the two models.
