With the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, we’re heading for a series of smartphone revelations – but the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S could even be unveiled before the Congress. The offshoot of the Mi Mix 2 could thus go in the company of the Samsung Galaxy S9.
So far it had been assumed that Xiaomi presented the Mi Mix 2S as part of the MWC. But now the smartphone could see the light of day shortly before the event in Barcelona. This would give the company from China a tactic similar to Samsung’s: the Galaxy S9 will be unveiled on February 25, the day before the official launch of the Congress.
However, it is still possible for Xiaomi to choose the traditional path and present the Mi Mix 2S at the event. Recently, it was said that the unveiling will take place within the MWC. However, it may well be that the manufacturer wants to keep the big stage clear for his new flagship model: the Xiaomi Mi7.
The smartphone is rumored to have a display with the unusual aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. By comparison, the screen of Mi Mix 2 has an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The question remains about the built-chipset: According to an authentic website report, it is unlikely that Xiaomi already donated the device to the Snapdragon 845. This feature is the Mi Mix 3 reserved, which is expected to appear in the fall. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S but should have a 6GB of RAM and a dual camera.
